Sara and I have the new scanner all up and running. It's pretty awesome and makes scanning books a million times easier, and I wish that was an exaggeration. I might actually be excited to scan Wallulahs????
Unfortunately, I did not get to any of the Wilbur letters today. I'm going home tonight for Spring Break so I will get back to those next Monday.

The Letters
Right now I'm working on the Wilbur Letters. I've scanned and edited up to the second folder. I'm not sure I love the colors. The Epson scanner makes the letters really light and the book scanner makes the letters really dull. I'm not sure how to fix that yet. So the scans may change as I figure out how to make them look better.
In other news, the much needed spring break is almost here and I don't know if I've ever been more excited for a break before.

The New Project
I started the Wilbur Letters project today. I have the first folder of letters scanned and matched the second one with text in a word document.
I'm going to make a separate word document for each letter and put in in the same folder as the letters.
I also don't love the color that the letters are ending up on the computer. I'll probably mess with that for awhile.

The Beautiful Spring Day
Moving forward with new projects here in the Archives.
I'm working on two, small scanning projects for Mary before beginning the Wilbur letters.
I should finish the small projects by the end of the week, and will start the Wilbur letters on Monday. Just looking at that project, I'm sure it will take at least a couple of weeks. We should also add in some time for me getting distracted by the letters...

The Late Update
Whoops! Seems like it has been awhile since I wrote a blog post. I'd like to blame last week's midterms as well as strep throat, but I don't think I wrote one the week before that either...
Here's the update:
Binder of slides are done.
1952 Wallulah is done.
1965 Wallulah is almost done.
The CDs are all on Drobo.
Other than that, I was going to keep organizing the VMS collection. Are we waiting to put more up online? Or is there a better way we can organize them online?
