I began today with the 1905 Wallulah, which I have now scanned up to
page ~45, if I remember correctly.
I also continued working on the Paulus Collection. Mary gave me some
resources to look through, so I've been cross-referencing and making
sure that Otto Paulus's clients are correctly identified throughout
the collection. I have done a good 3 1/2 pages of these clients (in an
alphabetical list compiled by Roger Hull).

ReplyDeleteThe scans look good at 600dpi. Some of them need cropping to get the bottom a clean line, e.g. Page59.tif. Some images also need deskewing - that's getting them straight - try the ruler / rotate trick in photoshop. There is a page in the blue notebook that has the directions on how to do that.
Both Mary and Sara are out on Wednesday. Keep on with work you are doing! Bill will be around if you run into any problems. Next week we'll get to scanning some of the missing images of the glass plate negatives.
On Thursday lets talk a little bit about the Paulus metadata, as the first set of images were already loaded into the archives website, and if there are is metadata that should be added/fixed on them I can show you how to do that.
