Today after working on Wallulah for a while, I received a request to scan a picture of Lausanne, the ship that carried Willamette's founders to Oregon. I was also presented with the project of scanning all of Mr. Shull's slides.
This was my first time scanning slides and at first I had trouble with the orientation on the scanner. However, now I realize exactly where to place things. I have only scanned one batch of 15 slides. I haven't been able to try to scan their front border yet, but I will play around with that on Monday. This is a very interesting project and I'm glad to be learning about different forms of visual media.
